Call Marvel Santa Clause because Christmas has truly come early. Marvel head Kevin Feige, with the help of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans announced all the titles for their Cinematic Universe’s Phase 3. I’ll let that sink in a moment…..you good? Good. Now check out the full line-up below.
Captain America: Civil War— May 6, 2016
Doctor Strange— November 4, 2016
Guardians of the Galaxy 2— May 5, 2017
Thor: Ragnarok— July 28, 2017
Black Panther— November 3, 2017
The Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 1—May 4, 2018
Captain Marvel— July 6, 2018
Inhumans— November 2, 2018
The Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 2— May 3, 2019
The most surprising news, as you’ve guessed, is that next Avengers film after “Age of Ultron” will be a two-parter. The epicness will begin on May 4, 2018 and will conclude on May 3 the following year.
As for the much rumored Black Panther movie we now have a confirmed date and actor in Chadwick Boseman (“42”, “Get on Up”) who was also on stage with Downey and Evans. On top of that there was some concept art for the character below! So mysterious!
As for Doctor Strange Feige made no confirmation on the casting of Benedict Cumberbatch saying that everything not mentioned at that moment was either “not confirmed or false rumor”.
There is also no casting or directing news regarding Captain Marvel but Feige said nan announcement would be “coming soon” regarding the later.
There is very little known about all these movies aside from some confirmed actors and directors, but this all exciting nonetheless. We have four and a half years’ worth of upcoming goodies, and about half of them feature new heroes we’ve never seen. We won’t see the beginning of this glorious series for about a year and a half, so the closest you’ll get is the title art below. Enjoy.
